[2026] A One-Day Trip to Enjoy Smoked Food Making & Stone Oven Pizza at the Northern Tip of Lake Biwa!
Join us for a one-day trip to experience smoked food making and stone oven pizza baking at the traditional Taraichi-tei house in northern Lake Biwa!
In this season, you might also see the migrating butterfly, the Chestnut Tiger.
At the "Taraichi Residence," an old folk house at the northern end of Lake Biwa, time seems to flow slowly.
You will be greeted by Chachamaru, an idol dog, and ducks.
You can enjoy freshly made smoked foods using a smoker.
Enjoy freshly made smoked foods such as bacon, smoked eggs, and smoked cheese.
Smoked gyoza is also delicious.
You can also enjoy stone-oven pizza made with freshly cooked bacon.
The dishes made with ingredients purchased at the local direct sales shop are also delicious.
You can make new friends in a fun atmosphere.
Delicious spring water is welling up nearby.
The participation fee includes the following:
- Transportation.
- Smoked food making.
- Stone oven pizza baking.
This event will be held rain or shine.
You can join this event with six thank-you points instead of the participation fee.
Events are open only to club members.
You can view the meeting place after your login.
You can cancel your registration before 9/20.
Please pay the cancellation charge after it. The cancellation fee is not a penalty but is meant to partially compensate for the cost of food, location, and car reservations, so please pay regardless of the reason. If there is a cancellation without notice, the account will be suspended until the cancellation fee is paid. We appreciate your understanding.
Please be sure to notify us of cancellations via email if the cancellation deadline has passed. Circle members do not have the authority to approve cancellations, so cancellations communicated to friends within the circle will not be valid. If you are asked to relay a cancellation on someone's behalf, please decline and advise them to contact the circle directly via email to cancel.
Failure to pay the cancellation fee will result in temporary suspension of membership until the fee is paid.
